Just north of the Pilgrim Chapel which is located at 38th and northbound Gillham Rd in midtown Kansas City, MO.
Which direction does the 5K race start?
The race will start southbound.
Where does the 5K course go?
The course goes through Hyde Park, Gillham Park, and the historic Hyde Park neighborhood.
Is this a hard course?
No. It is gradually downhill for the half mile, then gradually uphill for the next mile. It is then flat until the downhill finish.
Will this race be chipped timed?
Yes, all runners and walkers will receive a timing chip in their packet.
When will the Children’s Pilgrim Dash start?
The Dash will start at the conclusion of the 5K run and walk. That will be about 10:15 am.
Where is the Children’s Pilgrim Dash?
The starting line for the dash will be 100 and 200 yards north of the 5K finish line.
Will there be food and drinks at the end of the race?
Yes, we will have food, water and sports drink for all participants in the Pilgrim 5K Run and Walk and the Cornerstones of Care Children’s Dash.
What if it rains or snows?
We will run in the rain or snow, but if it is unsafe to run/walk the race director reserves the right to cancel the race.
Do I have to register on line?
No. While online registration is the most efficient means of registration, you can download a registration form from the website and mail it in with a check. A registration form is also available on the back of the rack card advertising the race.
What if my name is spelled wrong, my age is wrong, etc.?
No problem. Just e-mail the race director to make the necessary changes to your registration.
Can I register in person at the packet pickup?
Where and when is the 5K packet pickup?
All participants in the 5K run/walk must pick up their race packets and t-shirts at the Pilgrim Chapel, 3801 Gillham Rd, Kansas City, MO between 3:00 and 7:00 pm Wednesday, November 23 or between 7:30 and 8:30 am, November 24.
Where is the Children’s Dash packet pickup?
Dash packets can be picked up between 3:00 and 7:00 pm November 23 or between 7:30 and 9:45 am, November 24. The dash packet will have a bib and a T-shirt.
Where can we park for packet pickup on Wednesday, Nov. 23?
Packet pickup parking is available on the streets surrounding the Pilgrim Chapel.
Can a friend or family member pick up my packet?
I registered but can’t participate; can I still pickup my T-shirt?
Yes. Pick your T-shirt up during the packet pickup periods.
Will T-shirts and medals be mailed?
I registered but can’t participate. Can I transfer my registration to next year or give it to a friend?
No. We’re sorry, but there are no refunds and registrations must be used this year by the person who registered.

What charitable organization will my participation benefit?
The children’s programs of the Pilgrim Center. Each year the Center presents a free Easter Egg Hunt and Program and free a Movie and Concert in the Park series for the children of Kansas City.
Can I bring my dog to the Pilgrim Run?
Sorry, but no. Dogs are not allowed at this event.
Can I push my child in a stroller?
Strollers are not allowed in the run, but can be used in the walk.

Where can I park on Race Day?
Parking is available in the multiple level parking garage located in the 3500 block of Gillham Rd just south of Armour Blvd. Additional parking is available at Notre Dame de Sion Grade School (3823 Locust St.). Access to this parking lot will close at 8:45 a.m. and exit will not be opened until 9:30 a.m. since this lot is within the race course. Please DO NOT park on the streets that are on the race course.
